The 2009 UK Final of the VMA Tour will be played over two rounds on the superb Kingsbarns Golf Links, rated 12th in the ?Top 100 UK Courses?, on Sat 17th & Sun 18th October.
Qualification for the UK Final will include three nights dinner, B&B in the 5 star Fairmont St Andrews Hotel.
Accommodation has been booked on a twin share basis. The single supplement is ?70 per night and if you wish to bring a partner the charge is ?105 per night for dinner, bed and breakfast. An optional practice round is available on Friday 16th at a reduced rate of ?82.50.
The winners will go forward to represent the UK in the VMA World Final at Finca Cortesin in Andalucia, Spain 29th Oct ? 4th Nov.
The UK Finalists will include:
1) The top 20 in the final Order of Merit
2) The leading 2 ladies in the final Order of Merit
3) The leading 4 Volvo Owners in the final Order of Merit
4) The winner & runner up in each of the five Championship Events
5) The leading Volvo Owner at each of the five Championship Events
6) The competitor with the winning aggregate score on the following trips: Sawgrass (Nov 2008) La Manga; St Andrews Experience (April); Cornwall Experience; The Open Experience; Ireland.
7) The leading two ladies from both the Plate Final and the Grand Final of the PING Women?s Fourball Betterball tournament.
If any competitor qualifying under categories 2 - 6 above, finishes in the top 20 of the final Volvo Order of Merit,then the next competitor on the Order of Merit will qualify for the UK Final.
