Re-scheduled pm round from the Championship Event on 31st May


Please note the event at Woburn on the Duchess Course on Wednesday 12th October is the re-scheduled pm round from the original Championship Event on 31st May which had to be postponed due to heavy rain flooding the course.

For all those competitors who played on 31st May there is no charge to play in this event.

The round will count for OoM points and as the original event was a Championship Event we will combine your score on the Duchess Course with your score on the Marquess Course from am 31st May and the competitor with the leading score will qualify for the Tour Final in Oitavos in October.

If you did not play in the original event on 31st May the entry fee for this event is £195 and the package will include: coffee & bacon roll on arrival; 18 hole individual stableford competition on the Duchess Course; two course lunch following play; range balls & strokesaver; prizes for the leading three competitors + two nearest the pin competitions.

Package Includes:  Tea/ Coffee & bacon roll on arrival, one round on the Duchess Course, two course meal following play.  Prizes for the leading three scores over 18 holes and the winner of the 36 hole event (inc the scores from the Marquess Course on 31st May).

 

Tee Times:   Play is in fourballs and tee times are from 08:40am.  The draw will be on the website by 5.00pm on Friday 7th October.

 

Registration:  The registration desk will be set up in the Russell Bar from 7.30am.

 

Practice facilities:  There is a full length range, putting green and chipping green.  Range balls are included.

 

Scoring Format:  Play will be in fourballs and the scoring format will be Individual Stableford with full handicap allowance. The maximum handicap limits will be 24 for men and 36 for ladies.

 

Tees:              Men - TBC                Ladies - Red

 

Prizes:  There will be prizes for at least the first, second and third place plus an overall 36 hole prize.  There will also be two Nearest the Pin competitions.  The presentation will take place shortly after the last match finishes.

 

EAGT Championship Event: The winner over 36 holes ( including the scores from the Marquess Course on 31st May) will qualify for the Tour Final at Oitavos Dunes in October.

 

To be eligible to accept this prize a competitor must either have played in at least three previous Tour events or play in five subsequent Tour events before the Tour Final in October.  If a competitor does not comply with either of the above they cannot accept the automatic place in the UK Final.


CONGU Qualifier: This event will be a CONGU handicap qualifying event so you will need to know your exact playing handicap when you check in. A Competition Standard Scratch Score will be calculated and handicaps will be amended according to CONGU guidelines..

 

Catering: Coffee & bacon rolls on arrival, two course meal following play.

 

Sweep:  There will be an optional sweep of £10 to include a 2s sweep,a competition sweep and an overall 36 hole competition sweep.

 

EAGT Order of Merit: This is the last event counting for OoM points in the 2016 Tour Schedule.

Merit points will be awarded on the basis of 100pts to the winner, 99pts for runner up, 98pts for third and so on. To be eligible for merit points you need to be a current member of the Tour for an annual subscription of £40. You can join online at www.eagt.co.uk or call Janet on 0845 466 2222.

 

Shorts:  Shorts must be tailored and socks can be short white sports socks.

 

Dress: JACKET & TIE IS NOT REQUIRED

 

GPS range finding equipment: The use of GPS range finding devices is permitted on the Tour.

 

Late Cancellation:  Please note that we have submitted numbers to the golf club and they will make a charge for late cancellation.
