Girona airport is only 5kms from PGA Catalunya and 16kms from the Hotel Carlemany

Barcelona airport is approximately 110kms (90 mins) from PGA Catalunya and 126 kms (100 mins) from the Hotel Carlemany.

Golf Course transfers:

We have hired a coach for the transfers to / from PGA Catalunya and Pals.  The journey to PGA Catalunya is approx 30 mins and 60 mins to Pals.  We will provide you with a schedule of coach departure times on your arrival.

The hotel is booked for arrival on Thur 19th and departure on Mon 23rd May (4 nights) and the package is based on twin / double occupancy.

The 4 star Hotel Carlemany has been recently refurbished and is located in the medieval city of Girona just a few minutes walk from the beautiful walled Old Quarter of Barri Vell. As well as its architecture Girona is renowned for its restaurants, shopping and vibrant nightlife.

The hotel has free wi fi throughout.

Car parking:  There is a public car park under the hotel and residents receive a 40% discount but the charge is still 18 Euro / 24 hrs.  If you intend using the car park please remember to tell them at reception when you check in so they can organize your discounted fee.

Daily Draw:  The draw for the first two rounds will be on the website by 5.00pm on Monday 16^th May. We will make the draws for Saturday on Friday and the draw for the last round will be made in score order with the leaders going out last. If you have any requests for early / late tee times please make your request via the Message facility in your locker.

Buggies & electric trolleys:  They are not included but we have reserved 20 buggies (44 Euro per round) and 9 electric trolleys (18 Euro per round) at PGA Catalunya. Please let us know asap if you require a buggy or electric trolley, we will allocate them on a first come first served basis

Range balls:  Included each day.

Format: The scoring format each day will be individual Stableford with full handicap allowance. All four rounds will count towards the 2016 Order of Merit.

Handicap: CONGU only applies in the UK so the events will be non qualifying.    

Prizes:  There will be prizes for the leading three scores each day. The player with the best aggregate score over the four rounds will qualify for the 2016 UK Final. To be eligible to win this prize you must play a minimum of seven rounds on the schedule of events qualifying for 2016, that is a further three rounds after the Spanish Open.

To avoid any excess baggage charges prizes will be in the form of vouchers for the 2016 Tour as follows:

Daily vouchers: 1^st - £100, 2^nd - £70, 3^rd - £50       Overall vouchers:  1^st - £150, 2^nd £125, 3^rd - £100.

Presentation dinner: There will be an informal presentation dinner on Sunday evening. Venue TBC

Dress:  No formal dress ie jacket & tie required.

Sweep:  There will be an optional sweep totaling 50 Euro (approx £40) which will cover the 2’s sweep and the competition sweep for each of the 4 rounds. The sweep will be collected on Thursday morning before play starts.

Evening Socialising:  Experience has shown that most people like to make their own arrangements for evening meals and there are plenty of options within a few minutes stroll of the hotel. We will recommend a restaurant each day and anyone wishing to join us as a group is very welcome.
